The Body Swing Connection

Hip tightness for example can affect golf swing characteristics in several ways. When the hips are tight, and the golfer has limited ability to fully rotate hips during the swing, this can lead to a restricted backswing which can translate to reduced power and distance. This can also cause compensations in other parts of the body, such as the lower back or shoulders, which can negatively impact swing mechanics and increase the risk of injury. Additionally, when the hips are tight, it can be more challenging to maintain balance and control throughout the swing, leading to inconsistent shots.

What is TPI’s Philosophy of the Swing?

“We don’t believe there is one way to swing a club; we believe there are an infinite number of ways to swing a club. But we do believe that there is one efficient way for everyone to swing and it is based on what they can physically do.”
